WebFadds Newsetter Install and Configuration Service

WebFadds.com offers a “Newsletter Configuration and Installation” service for WordPress website fully featured, yet easy to use software to help you in your marketing efforts online.

F.A.Q.

Could you please give details about the Newsletter Software you will install for us?

Sure. It is a commercial program from Tribulant Software that is designed to integrate with your WordPress website solution so you can log in, then create and send newsletters from your Admin. area. It’s fully compliant with the CAN-SPAM act (ability to unsubscribe at any time built in). You can send out mass newsletters from posts, newsletter templates, or newly created messages.

Why do I need a newsletter in addition to my RSS feeds?

RSS feeds (all of your posts and articles are “syndicated” with WebFadds.com CMS website solutions), are reactive — they rely on convincing your readers to sign-up for a feed. Newsletters are proactive — collect business cards at a convention or sales event, then send a series of “newsletters” and other marketing messages. Plus, you can have multiple lists, and so vary the messages each list receives — an excellent way to target your marketing communications.

You can also use this newsletter program for paid ezine publishing, to deliver a paid e-course, for a series of “clues” in a marketing promotion, and other creative purposes. The key is establishing a good database of email addresses of prospects that choose (so you don’t SPAM) to receive your enewsletters and other published materials.

What is included in the Newsletter Template you set up for us?

Our service includes one newsletter template set-up, where we make a graphic of your current website header*, with placeholders for stories. Then you’re ready to go to your admin area, add stories, and send your first newsletter.

Here is an example of a recent newsletter we did for a client in their template, as it appears in the inbox of a gmail account:

  1. [...] Install a proactive newsletter program for WordPress. Why — isn’t RSS and pinging enough? Well, they are great ways to get the word out, but they’re reactive — they rely on your prospects to sign up for your feed, or to surf to the sites that feature your pings. With a newsletter, you can send updates, alerts, promotions, etc., direct to a list of prospects. We have an excellent program we install and configure for you with our eNewsletter Configuration service. [...]

  2. Test

  3. Can it also send just plain text emails?

I read in more than one place that your emails are more likely to end up in the spam folder if they are HTML emails with images. Have you found this to be true?

Is there any way to track how many people open the HTML emails and or click on the links in them?

  4. Hi Joni - Thanks for your questions. Yes, the newsletter can indeed send just text emails. I do not have stats on whether people are likely to throw out HTML emails, but I know that was in fact true a few years back. I think that concern is going away as more services like gMail, Yahoo, and MSN cater to HTML mailings. This plugin does not have tracking capabilities at this time. - Scott
